Henry is the third generation of a family of accomplished Hong Kong coaches. It all started when his grandfather started a world famous family swim school based in Hong Kong in the 1970's, with his parents soon coming under his grandfathers wing, and then him following suit when he came of age.
Growing up in Hong Kong has given him a unique understanding of both local and international schools, and all the sporting institutes and opportunities within the country for both youth and adults. Henry grew up as an accomplished age group swimmer, before moving on to Modern Pentathlon (swimming, running, shooting, fencing, equestrian) when he was at boarding school in the U.K. As an adult he turned to Triathlon, competing in Sprint to 70.3 distances. He has also competed in Marathon swimming & running, and Ultra Marathon running events, and still actively competes in a variety of the above sports as an age grouper. After becoming an accomplished youth athlete he then turned his talents and expertise to coaching in order to give back to the next generation of Hong Kong sport. He has been teaching and coaching since his early teenage years amounting to almost 20 years of experience. He has extensive experience in racing and coaching all the endurance sports we offer - swimming, cycling, running, and triathlon. He has experience in teaching and coaching athletes of all ages and abilities from complete beginners to Olympic hopefuls. Henry views all of his clients as part of the extended Wright family, and as such delivers an athlete centered, honest and no nonsense approach to the programme.
Henry is overseeing training programmes for aspiring athletes of all ages for endurance sports covering all distances. He is able to use his own race knowledge, to help athletes achieve their goals whether it is to qualify for AG World Championships, finish their first race, or build on their existing base.
