Youth Athlete Of The Month

This month the award goes to an athlete who I know won't be expecting it. He has been improving every week, and has made some strides in the most recent sessions of his running. Improved attitude and effort in every session has led to some great improvements - well done.

Always turning up with a smile and a great attitude to training, ready to get some work done. He's one of our newer athletes, having joined to get his swimming on point for plenty of upcoming Tris. 70.3+ coming up!

HKTRIA Re-registration 2024

It's time to renew your registration for the HKTRI association. Please choose for your affiliated club South China Athletic Association. Make sure you also have a  active SCAA membership - click here. If you're planning to race in any TRIA races (Aquathlon, Duathlon, Triathlon) it is worth affiliating with the club - you will get discounted race entry, and pretty much save the extra within 1 race. Wavey Aquathlon

Along with the wet weather, we've had some big waves at Repulse, which has made our aquathlon sessions bigger and better than ever. This terms group have made some big strides this term - can't wait to see how far they get by the end of December.

Epic CIS Mornings

It's been great to get back into the mix with the CIS X Country team on Tuesday AMs. Prepping for HKSSF and ISSFHK every morning before school is the best way to start the day!

Hills, Hills, Hills

We've been back to Nam Fung for some early season strength endurance work in the form of the hill of joy! Up, up, up we go - fun, fun, fun all the way to the top!

The newest edition of the 26 swag is out and about in all sessions - looking good guys - look good, feel good!

Cycling Or Circus?

Bike skills has been getting increasingly more complex for our regular cyclists. Check out the latest tricks we've got the Youth guys practising!

Jump Ups

Some of our youngest guys learning how to get up and forward as fast as they can. One of our favourite start drills - lots of fun - faster every week!

The next generation of athletes are up and coming - flying around Aberdeen track already - can't wait to see what these kids can do!

Harbour Run Sept

Our monthly 24km Harbour run is done and dusted for this month. Look out for the Oct edition - it's a social run where everyone is welcome to come and drop in for as much as they like.

Coach Sasha - Thank You!

We've had one of our Youth athletes, Sasha, giving back to the younger ones with some work experience a couple of times per week. It's been a blast, the Primary aged athletes have loved having her as part of their sessions! Thanks Sasha, look forward to you helping again in the future!

Banished To The Outside

The long annual maintenance period for the Kennedy Town pool has begun! The outdoor pool has been like a bath so far, but it will quickly lose all it's hot appeal - prep yourselves for the cold shock of Oct!

Aquathlon Army

Race ready and raring to go! The aquathlon season still has a couple more races to go - big leaps in transition practice for the squad! Can't wait to see it in action in some races!

Swim Bike Run Repeat

A clip from one of our favourite sessions - Repulse Bay - Swim, Bike on the turbo, and Run off. Prepping for the upcoming Central Tri never got so good.

How To Exit The Water

Check out Youth athlete Alban showing us a smooth exit from the water at Repulse. Getting in as close to the beach as possible before standing up and then straight into the run is key for both aquathlon and triathlon. Great job mate!

Coach Athlete Dinner

Nothing like running along both sides of the Kowloon then HK Harbour in a Typhoon 3 to finish the month - another 24km in the bag - Easy days!

RESULTS OF THE MONTH

Colin Giles - 70.3WM

Well done to Colin on getting another 70.3 under his belt. Top 10 position this time, great result in a U.S. based race! Next up is Sunshine Coast - just over 2 months to prep! 

Gamagori Asia Tri Cup

Amazing to see Petra racing alongside 26 alumni Cade and Tallulah Wright in the Elite womens race in Japan. Cade - 19th, Tallulah - 24th, Petra 42nd. Oscar Coggins also is back to racing but unfortunately was in a bike crash during the race - happy to report no injuries though!

TriHK Aquathlon Race 2

Well done to everyone who raced in the TriHK Aquathlon 2. One of our favourite disciplines - look forward to Repulse next month.

The Chase

The first ever Chase was a resounding success - best day ever seeing so many 26 families running together - regulars and new faces. Can't wait to see you again at next years The Chase!
